With some effort, I found a Windows disk management utility that's usually reserved for formatting drives that ALSO has some limited ability to assign new drive letters to these "phantom" drives. My new Win 8.1 laptop will report loading drivers, but the drives do not get mapped to Windows drives I can navigate. The problems started showing up with my Win 7 HP 圆4 suddenly not recognizing some external drives (flash or HDD). #6 (Spitt) I, too, have been having problems with my external Seagate (and Samsung) and Toshiba drives with USB 3.0 interfaces, and a few of my more recent USB 3.0 flash keys.

It seems to be a growing serious gap caused by Microsoft's supposed "security" solutions for drivers that obsolete some critical hardware without recourse. Also, FWIW, those same external USB 3.0 drives ARE reliably recognized by my Win 7 HP x32 computers! So much for reliable backup storage! Long story short, I'm not sure this is a Power Data Recover problem. Seems to work 70% of the time, but not for the weak of heart. Because Microsoft has stopped relative upgrades for Windows XP, our testers just concentrated on Window Vista, Windows 7 and operating systems after that, and ignored Windows XP 32 bit. (here we find a tech guy among you, are very sorry about this bug, and it is due to our tester’s negligence.
About today's bug we felt so sorry, the reason why it could not work on Window XP 32 bit is below:ġ.) Today´s version uses QT5 runtimes! andĢ.) The file “vccorlib120.dll” will obviously not run on 32 bit XP /2003 server
